The Connected Leadership Journal: Student Version

The Connected Leadership Journal: Student Version has been designed to help students as they explore their beliefs about influence and leadership. The Journal is a reflective practice tool that career service professionals and others can use to drive or support efforts to:

 

1.   Enhance the student's understanding of how they do, and can, influence others.

2.  Explore the student's values and how those values show up in the way the 

  student chooses to lead.

3.  Build needed confidence to take on bigger and broader roles in their social

      network, community and beyond.

4.  Strengthen the student's influence and leadership capacity and efficacy.

5.  Discover the student's leader self-identity.

NACE has committed to providing opportunities for students to attain and demonstrate the competencies that ready graduates for a successful transition into the workplace. 

 

Among the Career Readiness Competencies defined by NACE is Leadership - “the ability to leverage the strengths of others to achieve common goals and use interpersonal skills to coach and develop others.”  NACE goes on to say that “the individual is able to assess and manage his/her emotions and those of others; use empathetic skills to guide and motivate; and organize, prioritize, and delegate work.”

THE CODA CONNECTED LEADERSHIP JOURNAL: STUDENT VERSION IS WRITTEN AND ORGANIZED IN A WAY THAT HELPS STUDENTS AQUIRE & APPLY SKILLS FOR SUCCEEDING IN THEIR WORKPLACE AND COMMUNITIES.

IT IS USED IN CURRICULAR, CO-CURRICULAR, AND EXTRA-CURRICULAR EFFORTS.

It can be used in curricular, co-curricular, and extra-curricular efforts.
